This site was created and is maintained for Boy Scouts of America Troop 303. We are based out of American Legion Post 303 in Swansea, Massachusetts. If you are local kid (or adult) and are interested in joining the Scouting program, come check us out. We have tons of fun and do so much cool stuff that we can guarantee none of your friends do (unless they are in boy scouts too). While we may not be the biggest Troop around, we certainly have as much fun as any other troop, maybe more. We're looking forward to some big adventures in the upcoming months.
Just some of our activities include: indoor rock climbing at Carabiners in New Bedford, sledding and hikng at Camp Ker-anna, movie/game night at the American Legion Hall, bowling, archery shoots, and more fun stuff, like home made rocket launches! This year, we participated in the Klondike derby at Camp Cachelot capturing 3rd place overall with a 3 scout team! Last year we went to MassJam, had a canoe trip at Aquapog, some bike rides for the biking merit badge, hikes, fishing, and in general have a great time enjoying outdoor activities. Oh, and those that know us know about our culinary prowess and our homemade malasadas.
Why not head over to the 'Who we are' page and send one of us an e-mail to find out how you can join our troop? We do loads of fun stuff, and it all gets planned by the scouts, for the scouts with the assistance and guidance of dedicated adult leaders.
We've also got a page for our American Legion Post 303 Cub Scout Pack 303. These younger scouts are working their way through the ranks and requirements on their way to becoming Boy Scouts. Some will even receive the Arrow Of Light award for their achievements.
Thanks for taking an interest in the BSA Scouting Program, and Troop 303 & Pack 303!
